The coefficient of friction determines the friction between two materials, e.g. between Euro pallet and truck loading area (e.g. rough / smooth). With anti-slip mats, these coefficients of friction can be increased and the tendency of the goods to slip can be reduced. The forces to be secured according to the CTU Code are significantly lower. The positive effect is that fewer / cheaper load securing devices (e.g. lashing straps, dunnage bags) can be used.
