Refrigerated containers have become an integral part of the logistics industry. They offer the option of transporting chilled goods at a defined temperature and monitoring the temperature profile. <\/p>\n\n

Compared to the past, when cooling still had to take place via the means of transport, today’s integral containers are easier to handle. The refrigeration unit is built into the container, which has the minor disadvantage that less storage space is available because the external dimensions are standardized. <\/p>\n\n

The structure of a reefer container<\/h2>\n\n

The two pictures show a typical type 45R1 refrigerated container with an integrated refrigeration unit at the front.<\/p>\n\n

Special dunnage bag for reefer containers<\/h2>\n\n

Another system for securing loads is based on air-filled dunnage bags<\/a>. The so-called “SAM system”.<\/p>\n\n

It consists of two interconnected stowage pads, which are additionally coated with anti-slip material on the outside, creating an additional frictional force to the container walls in addition to the form fit.<\/p>\n\n

The side dunnage bag<\/a> are connected to a sturdy tarpaulin, especially in the door-side system, which additionally secures the load. A tarpaulin can also be useful on the top of small loads.<\/p>\n\n

The dimensions must be prepared in such a way that the cross tarpaulin is taut after filling.<\/p>\n\n
