A rolling period of up to 2-3 times per minute is not unusual. \u03c0 * d\/2) * (<sub>hDB<\/sub> &#8211; \u03c0 * d\/2)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><sub>bDB<\/sub><\/strong> = Width of the stowage cushion [m]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><sub>hDB<\/sub> = <\/strong> height of the baffle [m]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A <\/strong>= Contact area between dunnage bag and load [<sup>m2<\/sup>]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>d<\/strong> = gap between packages [m]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u03c0 <\/strong>= 3,14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1<\/h3>\n\n<p>The formula contains the width (<sub>bDB<\/sub>) as well as the height (<sub>hDB<\/sub>) and the gap width (d).<\/p>\n\n<p>In order to determine the respective initial dimension, the elements of the formula must be rearranged:<\/p>\n\n<p>(<sub>bDB<\/sub> &#8211; \u03c0 * d\/2) becomes (<sub>bDB<\/sub> + \u03c0 * d\/2) and (<sub>hDB<\/sub> &#8211; \u03c0 * d\/2) becomes (<sub>hDB<\/sub> + \u03c0 * d\/2)<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-black-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-3b89371cb2885d4ae03a7feee9a9a68e is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<p>To stay with the example described, the production dimensions for the <a href=\"https:\/\/rothschenk.de\/en\/product-category\/dunnage-bags\/\">upholstery<\/a> result from the following calculation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Length\/width<\/strong> = (<sub>bDB<\/sub> + \u03c0 * d\/2) = 1.92m + 3.14 * 0.34\/2) = 1.92m + 0.53m = 2.45m<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Upholstery height<\/strong> = (<sub>hDB<\/sub> + \u03c0 * d\/2) = 1.28m + 3.14 * 0.34\/2) = 1.28m + 0.53m = 1.81m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h3>\n\n<p>The next step is to compare the permissible load on the <a href=\"https:\/\/rothschenk.de\/en\/product-category\/dunnage-bags\/\">pad<\/a> with the force from the load. There must be at least a balance.<\/p>\n\n<p>The CTU code specifies the following formula for the pad load:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-black-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-e96dd000229c2de8481fbe6f188b4716 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"background-color:#f5f5f5\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<p><strong><sub>FDB<\/sub> = A * 10 * g *<sub>PB<\/sub> * SF [kN]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><sub>FDB<\/sub><\/strong> = Force that the dunnage bag can absorb without exceeding the maximum permissible pressure (kN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><sub>PB<\/sub> = <\/strong> Burst pressure of the baffle [bar]<br\/>The value for the burst pressure must be requested from the supplier. The value of<sub>PB<\/sub> = 0.55 bar applies to a standard cushion with level 1 and is used representatively in my calculation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A <\/strong>= Contact area between dunnage bag and load [<sup>m2<\/sup>]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SF<\/strong> = Safety factor<br\/>0.75 for dunnage bag for single use<br\/>0.5 for reusable dunnage bag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Using the values from the example above, the result is: <strong><sub>FDB<\/sub><\/strong> = 1.92 * 1.28 * 10 * 9.81m\/s2 * 0.55 * 0.75 [kN] = 67.77 kN.<\/p>\n\n<p>The force that this cushion can exert against a load is therefore 6,777 daN.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h3>\n\n<p>The next step is to calculate the force resulting from the load.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here are the formulas from the CTU code for a sliding\/tilting load. <sub>\u03bcstatic<\/sub> * 0.75 * <sub>cz<\/sub> ) [kN]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tilting:<\/strong><br\/><sub>FLADUNG <\/sub>= m * g * (cx<sub>,y<\/sub> &#8211; <sub>bp<\/sub> <sub>\/hp<\/sub> * <sub>cz<\/sub> ) [kN]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Inserting the values from the example into the calculation results in the following:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><sub>LOAD<\/sub><\/strong> = 2.7 to * 9.81 m\/s2 * (0.8 &#8211;
