Sustainability, recycling, circular economy – these terms are increasingly present in our everyday lives. Often there are good intentions behind them or, unfortunately, simply advertising statements without any real ambition.
Rothschenk has consciously committed itself to the topic of sustainability and actively lives it. This is demonstrated by exceptional awards (EMAS, EMASplus, Ecovadis, DIN ISO 9001:2015), but also by pioneering work on completely new projects.
Together with the Institute for Applied Logistics (IAL, Wรผrzburg) and Region Mainfranken GmbH (an association of Lower Franconian companies), a special plastics recycling initiative was founded.
As one of 20 participating companies, Rothschenk is also involved in establishing a regional network for the mutual use of plastic waste. In an initial workshop, the basic principles were developed to outline the various requirements of the companies involved.
The declared aim of the initiative is to exchange and reuse the plastic waste produced by companies instead of sending it for final incineration, as has been the case to date.
We are proud to be part of the regional network of plastics processing and recycling companies and look forward to the resulting synergies.
