Champions League – We won the treble!

On January 25th, 2019 the time had come - G&H GmbH Rothschenk was able to accept the fruits of the hard work of the past weeks. The load securement company (dunnage bags, lashings ...) received three awards at the Burkhardushaus in Würzburg.

Dr. Stefan Müssig, who, together with Ms. Johanna Ott Rothschenk, led to the certification, led through the supporting program. The Rothschenk team was certified as having exclusive participation in the first 1st environmental management convoy in Lower Franconia. Therefore the Certificate "Environmental Pact Bavaria" was awarded by Mr. Bertram Eidel, Head of Environment, Health and Consumer Protection of the Government of Lower Franconia.

Mr. Oliver Freitag, Head of Innovation and Environment, IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt had the special honor to hand over the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) certificate to Mr. Jürgen Schulte-Wieking. This honored the development and introduction of a management system to record environmental performance, continuously improve it and communicate it to the outside world. EMAS is currently the highest environmental certification that can be achieved.

A special novelty is the third certificate for G&H GmbH Rothschenk: EMAS^plus is a comprehensive sustainability management system based on EMAS. As of January 28, 2019, only about 15 companies with a total of 51 locations can claim this high standard for themselves. The greater the joy of the handover of the EMAS at the Rothschenk working group “EMAS”^plus certification by Dr. Stefan Müssig.

What all the effort for? The subsequent press conference offered sufficient time and discussion material to explain the advantages of such a voluntary certification. For Rothschenk, the concrete advantages lie in the communication of high corporate standards and real, lived and verifiable values ​​to customers and suppliers alike. Together with the Ecovadis award (silver medal!) results in a sustainable fingerprint both for the environment and for perception by our business partners.

After a short break, the EMAS team will get back to work to achieve the new goals as well as in the past few weeks.
