Plastic recycling system - pioneering work by RothschenkPosts by Thomas Bauer
Sustainability, recycling, circular economy - these terms are ever more present in our everyday lives. Often there are good intentions behind them or, unfortunately, simply advertising statements without real ambitions.
Rothschenk has consciously committed itself to the topic of sustainability and actively lives it. This is demonstrated by exceptional awards (EMAS, EMASplus, Ecovadis, DIN ISO 9001:2015), but also by pioneering completely new projects.
Together with the Institute for Applied Logistics (IAL, Würzburg) and Region Mainfranken GmbH (an association of companies in Lower Franconia), a special plastics recycling initiative was founded.
As one of 20 participating companies, Rothschenk is also involved in order to establish a regional network for the mutual use of plastic waste. In a first workshop, the basics were worked out to outline the various requirements of the participating companies.
The declared aim of the initiative is to exchange and reuse the plastic waste generated among the companies instead of incinerating it as has been the case in the past.
We are proud to be part of the regional network of plastics processing and recycling companies and look forward to the resulting synergies.
