Major fire in the production facility of G&H GmbH Rothschenk. You would have thought so, such was the professionalism of the firefighting exercise carried out by the local fire departments. The elaborate scenario was recreated under real conditions on the Rothschenk premises. The special requirements of a plastics processing company were taken into account.
Injured people had to be evacuated, fires had to be extinguished and monitored, and logistical challenges had to be mastered. This was the second time the exercise had taken place, after a first test last year proved to be a great success for all participants.
One of the main advantages for the fire departments in such exercises under real conditions is the industrial scale of the company. There is no other comparable training ground available to helpers and rescuers in the region.
The Rothschenk company provided a hearty snack to thank the firefighters for their considerable and voluntary efforts.
