Major fire (exercise) at Rothschenk!

Aub. On October 10th, 2018 at 7.15 p.m. everything was different. A major fire at the plastics processing company (Dunnage Bags, Lashings for load securement) Rothschenk in Aub triggered a deployment of the local fire brigades. For the employees who met at the assembly point, however, the all-clear was quickly given. It was an exercise by the fire brigades from Aub, Baldersheim, Oellingen, Gelchsheim, Sonderhofen and Burgerroth. The exact procedure was agreed in advance in coordination with the management.

This gave the fire brigade the opportunity to review rehearsed processes, use technology and equipment and gain experience under real conditions. The Rothschenk company was happy to make its premises available for this purpose, as knowing the location can save the fire brigade valuable time in the event of a fire.

An initial conclusion showed that the various fire departments worked together reliably and efficiently in all areas. Rescuing the injured as well as locating the source of the fire and fighting it, including counting the number of employees, were implemented within a very short time.

Important conclusions regarding improvement of details are now analyzed afterwards and integrated accordingly into the processes.

We would like to thank all the fire brigades, paramedics, first responders, water rescue services, "victims" and all other involved parties for the excellent cooperation. There was already a small thank you after the fire brigade exercise: the drink.
